Besides an invite (/help/team-roles), there's a request: the Owner or Head hands out a link, the person leaves a request, and you decide whether to let them in and with which role. Like "Team", requests exist only on plans with more than one seat.
The request link
"Team" → the "Access requests" block → "Turn the link on". A link like /join/<code> appears — "Copy" it and send it yourself.
- "New link" — the old one stops working at once.
- "Turn off" — no new requests; ones already sent stay.
- The link doesn't show the team's name.
Sending a request
Open the link → "Send request". Already logged in to AdFleet — the request goes from your account in one click. If not:
- "Email" and "Password": have an account — its password; no account — choose a new one, 8+ characters, and the account is created with the request.
- When email sending is set up in AdFleet, no request is filed from an unconfirmed email. A new account (or an existing one whose email isn't confirmed) first gets an email "Confirm your email for AdFleet": open the link → "Confirm email" — you're back on the team's page, send the request again. Logged in with an unconfirmed email, "Send request" leads to "Confirm your email".
- "Name for launches" — optional; a new account without one gets the start of the email.
- "Message to the team (optional)" — up to 300 characters.
The answer is always the same — "Request sent", even if the link no longer works or the existing account's password was wrong: this page can't be used to check a team or someone's email. If you already have an account, it's safer to log in and open the link again.
Until the request is approved, logging in opens "No team yet" — /help/no-team. You can also send a request by code there: the code is the last part of the link.
Approve or reject
The Owner and Head get a notification about every new request. In the "Access requests" block each request shows the email, name, message and time. Then:
- Role — Head, Team lead, Buyer, Tech or Viewer (Buyer by default). Owner can't be granted this way.
- Team lead — only for the Buyer role, if the team has a Team lead.
- "Accounts" — which accounts to assign right away; only for Buyer and Team lead, other roles see every account anyway.
- "Approve" — they're in the team and get a notification. "Reject" — the request is closed.
AdFleet emails the person about the decision (when email sending is set up). A seat is only taken on approval: no seats left — "Your plan's seat limit is used up". Someone else decided first — "This request has already been decided — refresh the page". New requests, decisions and link changes go to the team journal.
Limits
- Up to 10 requests an hour from one IP, and up to 3 a day into one team.
- Up to 5 open requests per person, one per team.
- Up to 50 requests in a team's queue. When it's full new ones are dropped: the Owner and Head see "The request queue is full" and get a notification.
- A password change cancels that account's open requests.
