Presets and A/B copy variants

A preset stores everything a launch needs: offer and GEO, structure (campaigns / ad sets / ads), daily budget and its currency, format (single ad or carousel), the ad texts (primary text, headline, description, button), the link, targeting, campaign settings (objective, bid, CBO/ABO, URL parameters, the DSA advertiser for the EU) and a naming template.

Limits

  • Each structure count is 1 to 20, at most 200 objects per account in total.
  • The naming template is up to 300 characters; a live name preview sits right in the form.
  • A preset can be duplicated ("(copy)"), deleted or paused. A paused preset is hidden from the launch picker but stays editable.
  • Presets are shared by the team: every role except Viewer creates and edits them.

A/B copy variants

In the primary text, headline and description you can write variants in braces: {Grab the bonus|Get the bonus}. It's a plain A/B test:

  • at most 5 variants per field — the preset won't save more;
  • the variant follows the account's position in the launch, never chance: neighbouring accounts get different wording, a retry reuses the same one;
  • double braces {{...}} are a macro (e.g. {{actor}}), not a variant.

You see every variant yourself in the preset. AdFleet has no random ad "uniquification" and never will.

Special ad categories

In "Campaign and optimization" → "Special ad categories (Meta)" tick a category if the ads are about housing, jobs or financial products and services (credit, insurance, banking). The launch's campaigns are created with that category; nothing is ticked by default. "Category countries" — codes, comma-separated, every country the ads run in; empty means the countries the preset targets (for worldwide, country groups or regions without a country, type the list).

For these categories Meta limits targeting in every country: age 18–65+ only, no gender choice, no ZIP codes, a radius of at least 15 miles / 25 km around a city, no excluded locations, no behaviours or demographics, no lookalike audiences. AdFleet checks this when the preset is saved and before the launch — before anything is created in Meta. Meta allows only interests on its own list, which can't be checked upfront: if Meta refuses, the launch card explains it.

AdFleet doesn't run ads about social issues, elections or politics: Meta requires advertiser authorization and a "Paid for by" disclaimer for them.
